Introduced in 2005 as a more powerful Seamaster, the Planet Ocean has a water resistance rating of 600 metres – double the standard Seamaster’s – and was the first dive watch fitted with the legendary Co-Axial escapement. 2022 saw the launch of the Planet Ocean Ultra Deep, rated to 6,000 metres and inspired by the experimental watch that Omega made and tested to a simulated depth of 15,000 meters to accompany the submersible that took foremost explorer Victor Vescovo to the deepest point on Earth, Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench.
