Description

The Seiko 6306-7001 Scubapro 450 is special because it combines rare JDM production, a reliable hacking movement, and the unique Scubapro branding. Collectors value its strong dive design, limited availability, and genuine connection to professional diving.

The Seiko 6306-7001 Scubapro 450 has a bold, highly legible dial built for real diving. Its large rectangular hour markers, strong lume, and clean black background make it easy to read in low light. The cushion-shaped 44 mm case gives the watch its classic “turtle” profile, offering comfort and durability. The bezel is simple and functional, and the Hardlex crystal adds toughness without glare. The rubber strap keeps the watch light and practical, matching the tool-watch character of the design.

Inside the watch is Seiko’s 6306 automatic movement, a reliable workhorse created for the Japanese domestic market. It features hacking seconds, a smooth hand-winding action, and strong accuracy for a vintage diver. The movement is known for its durability and easy serviceability, which helps keep these watches running well decades after they were made. It is a simple, honest mechanical engine that fits the practical spirit of this model.

The 6306-7001 Scubapro 450 has become one of the most sought-after Seiko divers because of its limited production and special connection to the Scubapro brand. Seiko released it in the late 1970s as a higher-grade variant of its famous “turtle” dive watches, and it was sold mainly in Japan. The Scubapro 450 logo on the dial makes it even rarer and ties it to professional diving culture. Today, collectors value it as a historical piece from Seiko’s golden era of tool watches, combining scarcity, strong design, and authentic dive heritage.
