Description

The Orient Moon Phase H68002V-60 stands out for its elegant moon phase display in a compact, vintage-sized case. It combines classic dress style with reliable quartz accuracy. The design feels timeless, and the complications add charm without making the watch hard to use.

The Orient Moon Phase H68002V-60 Quartz Watch has a classic dress design that feels refined and balanced. The dial usually comes in a clean gray tone with a moon phase subdial that adds visual interest without looking crowded. Slim hour markers and simple hands keep the layout easy to read. The case is compact at around 34 mm and made of stainless steel, giving it a vintage proportion that wears neatly on the wrist. It often uses a mineral crystal, which is common for watches of its era. The bracelet combines silver and gold tones, giving the watch a slightly formal, two-tone style that suits dress occasions.

This watch uses a quartz movement, which focuses on accuracy and low maintenance. Quartz movements run on a battery and keep time very precisely compared to most mechanical watches. In this model, the movement also powers the moon phase display and date function, adding useful complications without making the watch difficult to use. Because it is quartz, the watch is thin and lightweight, and it does not need winding. It is a practical choice for someone who wants a reliable everyday dress watch with a bit of character.

The history of this model connects to the broader story of Orient Watch Company, a brand founded in 1950 with roots going back to 1901 in Tokyo. Orient became known for producing affordable, high-quality watches, especially dress styles with classic designs. While the brand is famous for mechanical watches, it also made many quartz models during and after the quartz boom. The H68002V-60 fits into that period as a vintage piece that combines traditional styling with modern quartz technology. Today, collectors appreciate it for its elegant look and its place in Orient’s long history of accessible watchmaking.
