Description

The Maurice Lacroix Calypso Skeleton Ref. 14418 stands out because it combines a classic integrated bracelet design with a fully skeletonized automatic movement. It lets you see the watch's mechanical parts in motion, making it both a reliable timepiece and an attractive example of traditional Swiss watchmaking.

The Maurice Lacroix Calypso Skeleton Ref. 14418 has a bold and eye-catching design. Its skeleton dial shows the gears, bridges, and moving parts, giving the watch a mechanical look. The case has the classic Calypso shape with an integrated style that feels sporty and elegant at the same time. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial and gives a clear view from different angles. The matching stainless steel bracelet fits smoothly with the case and offers a comfortable feel on the wrist.

Inside the watch is a skeletonized automatic movement that combines reliable performance with visual appeal. The open design lets you watch the balance wheel, gears, and rotor as they work together. The movement winds itself through the motion of your wrist, so it does not need a battery. Maurice Lacroix finished the movement with decorative details that add character while keeping the mechanics easy to admire through the front and back of the watch.

The Calypso collection helped build Maurice Lacroix's reputation during the 1990s. It became known for its integrated bracelet design and its mix of sport and luxury styling. The Skeleton Ref. 14418 stood out because it brought traditional watchmaking into the Calypso line with a fully open-worked display. Today, collectors value this model for its distinctive design, mechanical craftsmanship, and its place in the history of Maurice Lacroix as one of the brand's most recognizable vintage collections.
