Evos8 Cobra Chronograph Grande Date (EVOS8)

The Franc Vila Evos 8 Cobra stands out with its carbon-fiber case, large date display, 300-meter water resistance, and unusual Cobra-shaped design. Franc Vila produced only 88 pieces, making this chronograph a distinctive limited-edition watch with strong motorsport-inspired styling.

The Franc Vila Evos 8 Cobra Chronograph Grande Date has a black carbon-fiber and guilloché dial with orange-gold markers, central chronograph seconds, two chronograph subdials, and a large date display at 12 o’clock. Its distinctive case uses carbon fiber with black DieHard Extreme steel, an elliptical “Esprit Unique” shape, and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The watch comes with a black rubber strap and deployant buckle, while some versions also included a crocodile leather strap. The current Chrono24 listing gives the case as 42 mm and the strap as rubber.

Inside, the watch uses Franc Vila’s automatic FV8Ch chronograph movement. The movement has a hand-finished construction and Franc Vila’s “Gold Concept Rotor.” It provides a 42-hour power reserve and drives the chronograph, small seconds, and large-date display. The chronograph uses the central seconds hand together with two subdials to record elapsed time.

Franc Vila introduced the EVOS 8 Cobra in 2009 as part of its Cobra collection, which focused on sporty watches with the brand’s “Esprit Unique” case design. The Chronograph Grande Date version appeared at BaselWorld 2012 and continued the Cobra theme with its carbon-fiber case, large date, and chronograph layout. Franc Vila limited the model to 88 pieces, following the brand’s use of the number eight in its limited editions.

The watch appears in very good condition. excellent condition. The case, bezel, and crystal look clean with no visible damage.
